In 2008...

This may come a bit early, I'll add on to this list if I think of anything to add.. haha...

In 2008, I've ....

• quit my job in eye ass. This is the most suck-iest company I've ever worked in. Stingy, brainless and useless management. I don't feel like elaborating it but the positive point is, I've made some good friends over there.
• move back to the south. As much I don't like to move back, I'm back.
• got a job in Singapore.
• been to Langkawi. Finally I can say I've been to Langkawi! During my uni days, it seems everyone among my peers have been to Langkawi and this year I've made a trip there with 2 friends. Good stay, good company and had great fun.
• done a road trip with a few friends as well.
• had my D40 for a year already ! Bought it November last year.
• attended a basic photography course.
• been back to Penang twice after I've moved back. One in August and another one during November.
• manage to watch the Beijing Olympics opening and think it was awesome.
• registered for London Olympics 2012 volunteers - just for fun! If kena, then just go. haha..

Blogging randomly

Yeay! I'm in a blogging mood though I don't know what I want to blog about. Let me just blog something randomly in point form.

• I sold away my SB400 speedlight for SGD120. I actually forgotten the actual price when I bought it in Penang, but anyway, since I got SB600, I won't be needing much of the old one.
• Has been jogging every evening of last week. I'm going to continue to do it again!
• Thought of starting a photo blog using wordpress. Will update about it the soonest!
• Woke up this morning and feeling lazy to go to work. Comtemplating should I take an MC but came to work anyway.
• Been playing word challende in facebook everyday, addictive but will wear out of it quite soon.
• One more month and 2008 is over.

coma

Today have to be one of those days that my emotion went into a coma. I'm totally emotionless. or is it the Monday blues. I couldn't sleep last night, my body is tired but my brain is not.

Procrastinating and 41/2 days craze - Part 21/2 to end

These few days at work, totally no mood to work. Well, not that I have no work to do but most of the work I've already settled, so some time left spend on fb-ing and watching youtube. wahhaha....

Recently I've just finished watching "I survived a Japanese game show". It's damn fun and hilarious and quite gan cheong also. I don't understand why those Americans like to play elimination games. Survivor eliminates people, fear factor also eliminate people, Amazing race also got eliminate people. Well, this show is practically about 10 Americans joining this Japanese game show which is a collaboration show between America and Japan. You know that Japanese always got this crazy ideas of games and you will never be bored watching them.

In this show, 10 Americans were divided into two groups and when one group wins, they'll get a treat and the losing team will get a punishment. I had the most impression on one of the win and lose episode - the winning team get to enjoy the world's most luxurious hotel in Japan for one night in a presidential suite that cost $12,000 per night. They even have a swimming pool inside the room! How crazy was that ! The losing team will need to spend a night in a Japan's coffin size capsule hotel.

Anyway, let me finish up my post on the days left in Penang a few weeks ago when I was there. After meeting up with William and Alan for lunch, I went back home and start my cooking right away ...but didn't manage to take any pictures. busy ah.

Well, after the dinner, naturally we pick up cards and start to play big 2. Since there are some wine, vodka and beer left in the fridge from the last time I was there, we make the person who lose drink a cup of it. Towards the end, however, things got a bit out of hand by mixing the drinks.

why so much of Absolute vodka ... coz when we bring it out, it's almost 1 litre full ! Anyone got drunk... oh yesss... kekekee...

If you wonder why there is salt and lemon there, that's to help easier consuming of the vodka. Like when you tequila shot, they let you lick the salt, drink it and squeeze the lemon in your month.

Well, the next day, we planned a birthday surprise for kevin during midnight to Monday .... ah, it was crazy as well ...


Whip cream on face! You know, playing prank on people is really fun. I really enjoy it, that's why most of the time I'm the master mind. haha.... On William's farewell, I remember splashing him with sea water together with flour + tomato sauce + syrup + coconut milk.... wahahaha..... and on Tommy and Jason's birthday, we smack their face with cake each ... BUT had a hard time cleaning up as well !!


If it's not enough from the last boozing, we continue with only 2 small bottles of Brandy and whisky and finish fast enough with the game of heart attack.

Yea, the next day I met up with Shini in the morning for a dim sum breakfast !! Wheeeee!!! I love dim sum !!

After settling some stuffs, we met Normah for lunch at Delifrance in Sandy Bay.... yum yum..seriously, I think we had a lot of food that day that I almost burst !!

We thought of meeting again after Normah finish her classes so me and shini decide to roam around Gurney and finally...yes finally...we get to do our airbrush tattoo !

Eat again.... *faint* we met for a short while at winter warmers before I run off to dinner with Kevin.
I've always like Winter Warmers' setting, their porcelian cups, little snacks, tea.. all looks so sweet....

Here's the dinner, this is my first visit to The Sire. Surely there will be a second time...

Anyway, I hope the next time when I'm back in Penang, I can be there for one week and I've set a mission for next year, that is to join Penang Bridge Marathon 2009. 1 year to train !

Oh ya, my colleagues send me this video link and it was freaking damn funny.... damn! I wish I could laugh out loud, I can't coz I'm in the office. You can put anyone face on the elf's body and they will dance.... Here's the link to try it out.

Finally it's weekend ! + 41/2 days craze - Part 2!

It's great to have weekends! Although coming to the end of the year that many things need to be wrap up and christmas decorations is up on the streets, life still have to go on. I just loooove Christmas, it's my most favourite season of the year!

Yesterday officially I've ended my Basic Photography class only I've miss one class to be replaced at the end of the month! Yeay! Hmmm, I could say I've learn something, worth my money and time. Now it's time to pick and choose and work hard for a few more photographes to be submitted at the end of January and they'll award you with a certificate, of course it come with a rank - pass, merit or distinction?

continue.... I still miss Penang... hai !! Anyway, for the second day that I was in Penang, I met up with William and Alan in Chillis ! Well, actually we keep switching dates, saturdayorsundaysaturdayorsunday ....then in the end we decide to meet on Saturday for lunch.

The portion of the food is so big that it can last till dinner. It really last me till dinner... Although I cook my favourite Sarawak Laksa for dinner ...

Oh ya.. I forgot.. we all were too sampat during the lunch that we forgot to take group picture.. but... bless the person who created photoshop.. hahaha

Something to think about:

There are 4 weeks in a month and 52 weeks in a year. You get 12 months salary. 52 weeks divide by 4 weeks = 13 months. Shouldn't we get 13 months salary?

41/2 days craze ! - Part 1

I have to admit that I have fun back in Penang this time round. Lots of fun ! Even a week before I flew off there, I keep anticipating that the time will pass faster and wish the time would slow down when I'm there. booohooohoooo... time always pass the fastest when you're having fun.

As I did a last minute packing the night before and it was late at night, I couldn't really bother to really sit down and think what should I bring, so everything I need was spontaneously dump into my luggage, and only I sat down to defragment the list of things in my brain what I've left out. Then I was convince I have everything until the next day I'm on the plane, I conviniently forgotten to bring my SLR camera charger. -_-

Well, so for some of the pictures I've taken, some I took with my slr, some I took with a compact camera, for slr, I won't bother to watermark it. Malas lah...

Yea, I took SQ, coz it's free...muaahaha...nolah, actually it was deducted from my dad's mileage points and I only have to pay the tax which I've calculated the tax is almost the same price if I buy an airasia return ticket from jb transiting at KL, but it's so mafan. I like to be convinient.
One hour flight and they flew airbus to Penang.... I don't understand why.. so many people go Penang one meh...

You know, I realise one thing. Whenever I fly MAS or Air Asia to Penang ah, they never pass through Penang Bridge one, they always come from the south of Penang, which means the cross the sea and straightaway land from the south of Penang Airport, means you can't see the bridge lah.. I flew SQ and realise they pass through mainland and made a turn ..crossing the sea and you can see Penang Bridge...then they land at the north of the airport.

Anyway, I'll post up some of the happenings again in the next post !

hates the reality

I'm back to reality. Time pass real fast when you're having fun. Yea, I had a lot of fun when I'm in Penang....

When I look through the window of the airplane and I said to myself, I'm back to Penang again ! Last August, I was overjoy and excited to get out of the plane when I'm back there, this time round, the feeling was just different. I'm back to the place I'm so familiar and so comfortable with that I feel like I'm back home. Yea, I got really attached to this place over the past few years, maybe it's because of the laid back life, the friends ... well, I believe there is always a place that you can really fit in.

It's great to see a few friends this time round and have funsss as well. will blog about it one by one soon ....

Snacks Attack !!

Note: This is a scheduled post coz I'm enjoying Penang now !!

My office pantry is always full of foooodsssss, snacks most likely - potato chips, nuts, cup noodles, twisties, various box drinks, pepsi twist, biscuits, tea, coffee machine to make coffee, beer and wine too ! If there are special occasions where big shots are coming, our boss will usually send us girls to buy cheese as well to be consume together with wine.

And this one of my favourite part of the job: to help another colleague to shop for snacks when our pantry need a re-fill...
